Why we are passionate about what we do
In the beginning we didn't set out to build a wellness practice.
We simply found ourselves asking questions that wouldn't go away.
Questions likes what is the body really trying to tell us through this symptom.
We noticed that the body was always trying to communicate with us, but many health care providers are quick to treat symptoms rather than listen to what's going on underneath the symptoms.
Life asked us those questions long before we ever opened the doors to A & A Bioenergetics.
Amber's journey began during a season when it felt like everything was falling apart. Her marriage was struggling. Two of her teenagers were navigating anxiety, nightmares, and emotional challenges that left the whole family searching for answers. She was quietly carrying depression, anxiety, and the overwhelming feeling that she had lost herself beneath the responsibilities of everyday life.
Looking back, she often says that hope became real the day she lost it.
Not because everything suddenly changed.
Because she reached a moment where she knew she could no longer keep living the way she had been.
She chose to begin searching.
That search changed everything.
Over the next decade, Amber immersed herself in learning about the body, the nervous system, and the many ways healing can be supported. Her family found relief and she found herself at peace. She kept asking better questions, trusting her intuition, and discovering that hope isn't wishful thinking.
Hope is believing there is a brighter future ahead and recognizing that we have the power to help create it.
When Amber opened the first A & A Bioenergetics office, she believed she had found her calling.
Four months later, she suffered a stroke, from chronic stress.
It would have been easy to question everything she believed.
Instead, the experience deepened it.
Recovery reminded her that healing asks for patience. That progress isn't measured in perfect days. It's measured in moments, in waves of stillness and waves terbulance. Amber's calling wasn't to open a wellness company, it was to understand the mind, body, and emotions on a deeper level.

Recovery reminded her that healing asks for patience. That progress isn't measured in perfect days.
Amber realized her calling was never the office, or the title, or the business card. It was the work underneath all of that: understanding the connection between the mind, body, and emotions and what they are trying to tell us. Amber believes every person deserves someone willing to walk beside them with compassion, curiosity, and hope. That's what she needed during her recovery.
Abbie's path began with the people she loved.
When her mother was diagnosed with cancer, Abbie became one of her caregivers. She watched her family navigate difficult decisions while receiving different opinions about what the best path forward should be. Not long afterward, her brother returned home from military service carrying the weight of chronic pain. Prescription after prescription brought little relief, and she found herself asking a question she couldn't ignore.
There has to be a better way.
That question led her to study natural approaches to wellness. One day she invited her brother to receive an AromaTouch session. Afterward, he told her it had brought him more relief than all the medications he had been taking.
That moment became a turning point.
It showed her that sometimes the body doesn't need more intervention.
Sometimes it needs different support.
Today, Abbie continues that mission by volunteering at the VA Hospital and pursuing her dream of creating a program that allows the community to sponsor wellness care for veterans who need it.
Although our stories are different, they brought us to the same belief.
People deserve to be seen as whole human beings.
Not just a diagnosis.
Not just a collection of symptoms.
A story.
A family.
A life.
We've learned that healing begins with listening. That trust grows one conversation at a time. That curiosity often opens doors fear never could.
Most of all, we've learned that hope changes people.
Not because hope solves every problem.
Because hope gives us the courage to take the next step.
Everything we do at A&A Bioenergetics grows from that belief.
We use pico-current therapy as one of our tools to support the body, but technology has never been the heart of our practice.
People are.
Every person who walks through our door arrives with a story that deserves to be heard.
Our role isn't to tell people what their journey should look like.
It's to listen well, ask thoughtful questions, and support them as they move toward greater hope, trust, and freedom.
Looking back, neither of us would have chosen the road that brought us here.
But we're grateful for what it taught us.
It taught us that hope isn't found by waiting for life to change.
It's found the moment we believe change is possible.
And if our story helps even one person believe that a brighter future is still within reach, then every step of the journey has been worth it.
