Chiron
in Aries
Key Term: “I am loved”
Wound: Self-Worth & Rejection
Gift: Earned Worth
What is Chiron?
In 1977, astronomers discovered a small planetary body orbiting between Saturn and Uranus. They named it Chiron.
In Greek mythology, Chiron was a centaur, half human, half horse, who carried a wound that never fully healed. What makes his story worth telling isn't the wound itself, it's what he did with it. He became one of the most respected healers and teachers of his time, training some of mythology's greatest figures, all while living with an injury he could never cure in himself. He couldn't heal his own wound. He became a master at healing everyone else's.
That's where the name Wounded Healer comes from, and it's the idea astrologers borrowed when they started reading Chiron in a birth chart. Wherever Chiron falls in your chart marks the place where an old wound and a real gift live side by side, the same way they did for Chiron himself.
Your Chiron placement isn't a flaw to fix. It's more like a key, a way in, to a pattern that's ready to be seen, a season of real change, or a wound that's finally ready to become something more useful than a scar. Working with it doesn't make the wound disappear. It's closer to what Chiron himself learned: until it stops being the thing that holds you back, and starts being the thing you understand better than almost anyone.
The key to healing pain is not found outside ourselves, but within. When we understand our own energetics makeup, we connect with the totality of who we are, and we begin to master our attributes through the power of alchemy.
Chiron in ARIES reading
If Chiron falls in Aries in your chart, you have a wounding that impacts your sense of identity. This can reveal itself as low self-worth and a fear of rejection, as well as what I have come to see as issues regarding energy and power.
With Chiron in Aries people there exists a deep wounding around the I AM.
You may struggle with feelings of being unloved or misunderstood, not just as a child, but also throughout your adult life. These feelings of low self-worth can cause you to build self-defense mechanisms. As a result, you very seldom show your vulnerability and uncertainty, and are usually seen as strong, independent and self-righteous (rather than sensitive). To feel secure, you often feel the need to have your emotions, perceptions, gifts and actions validated.
The Old Echo
There's an old pattern beneath Aries Chiron that has nothing to do with logic. It's the sense that safety was never guaranteed, that you had to fight for your place, even for your right to exist exactly as you are. Somewhere back there, gentleness might have gotten you hurt, so strength became the thing you could count on instead.
The Push and Pull
This wounding around self-worth can also manifest as self-pity and self-judgement. Some Chiron in Aries people carry the 'martyr syndrome', feeling as though they are expected to sacrifice themselves in various ways. This arises because of unresolved issues from the past or past lives regarding persecution and abandonment.
The Chiron in Aries person is seen as the warrior because of their association with Mars and the fire element. This in itself creates issues around energy and power. If you do not heal your wound, you can become physically depleted in your body and power centre. You may also experience feelings of hypersensitivity, and undergo spiritual initiations regarding power.
These initiations usually manifest as power-plays with others. You have a unique ability to tap into energy. As such, you are especially sensitive to energy and are guided by Chiron to understand how to channel it constructively in your life.
The Need
It is important that you recognize how powerful your power centre is, and how it can impact others. If you are running from a positive space, you create a lovely positive flow in your environment, one that impacts those around you. However, if you are feeling negative, you stop or inhibit that positive flow.
The most important lesson for the Chiron in Aries person is to learn to love the self. Self-love enables you to develop a strong sense of identity, giving you insight into your emotions and the impact they have on others, By recognizing and identifying this energetic impact you learn what it means to purify your power centre, thereby harnessing your power or energy in a positive and constructive way.
When you heal the pain that has created feelings of disempowerment you gain a sense of awareness that not only develops your own gifts and talents, but also heals and empowers others. The strength and power of the energy you create can initiate great healing in those around you. This process is overseen by the energy and teachings of Archangel Michael.
Mastering your wounding by overcoming feelings of doubt, persecution or sacrifice allows you to embrace who you truly are, without the fear of being judged or rejected.
Your Gift, Earned Worth
By owning your strengths and sense of self, you gain peace of mind, inner-power, and almost magnetic leadership qualities in whatever field of interest you pursue. Healing your Chiron wound gives you the opportunity to help others overcome their insecurities around living their 'true self.
When you master your Chiron wounding you often become very powerful, both energetically and personally. You gain an innate understanding of energy that enables you to master the healing arts. Through this, you unlock gifts and talents that enable you to become a catalyst, leader and teacher.
The Healing Path
The Way Back
Healing here isn't about becoming less of a warrior. It's about discovering that you don't have to fight for the right to exist exactly as you are, that your worth was never actually up for debate. As self-love takes root, the armor gets to soften, the power center clears, and what was once used to defend itself becomes something you can offer in service of others.
Let Yourself Be Seen Before You're Sure
Practice sharing one uncertain feeling this week with someone safe, before you've figured out how to present it strongly or perfectly. Notice the urge to package it in confidence first, and try setting that urge down, even briefly. Vulnerability was never actually a threat to your worth.
Check the Power Center
Once a day, pause and notice what you're broadcasting, your mood, your energy, your state. You have real impact on the room you're in. This isn't about self-judgment, it's about noticing when you're running negative and gently choosing to clear it before it spreads outward.
Interrupt the Martyr Pattern
Name one place this week where you feel obligated to sacrifice yourself, your time, your needs, your peace, for someone else's sake. Ask honestly whether that sacrifice is actually required, or whether it's an old story about what you have to give up to be worthy. You're allowed to test the answer.
Release the Need for Outside Validation
Notice one moment this week where you're waiting for someone else to confirm your feelings, your perception, or your worth before you'll trust it yourself. Practice trusting it a beat sooner, before the outside confirmation arrives. Your knowing doesn't need a second signature.
Purify Before You Lead
Before stepping into anything that calls on your natural strength, a hard conversation, a leadership moment, a decision others are waiting on, take a few minutes to clear and center your own energy first. Leading from a settled power center changes what you're able to offer the people around you.
Messages to Carry
I don't have to earn my place here.
I am allowed to be soft.
My strength was never the only thing about me worth loving.

Coming Full Circle
The same fire that once had to fight for a place at the table is the fire that, once tended instead of defended, can warm a room full of people finding their own way back to themselves. The wound and the gift were never separate. The strength was always real, it just needed somewhere safe to put itself down.
If this page named something you've been carrying for a long time, that's worth paying attention to. Insight like this is a real first step, actually shifting a pattern this old, at the level of the body and nervous system, not just the thinking mind, is the kind of work we do in session.
