Phase 2: Awaken

Activate Healing & Awaken Your Body’s Natural Energy

In Phase 1, you learned how to listen. Now, in Phase 2, your body begins to respond.

This is where things start to shift, not because you're trying harder, but because your system is finally getting what it needs.

"You're not chasing wellness. You're remembering what it feels like."

What’s Actually Happening in This Phase

Your body already knows how to heal. It doesn't need to be forced, it needs energy.

Think of a cell like a battery. A healthy, electrically charged cell lets nutrients in, moves waste out, communicates with other cells properly, and produces ATP, the energy currency your body runs on. But when a cell loses its electrical charge from chronic stress, inflammation, injury, toxins, poor sleep / nutrition, emotional trauma, or feeling stretched too thin, that whole system starts to break down.

This is why you can feel so depleted, foggy, and wired but tired all at once. It's not weakness. Your cells simply don't have enough energy to run the repair process.

Your sessions are the key of this phase. They work directly at the cellular level, restoring electrical charge and supporting ATP production, giving your body the fuel it needs to begin healing in a way that diet, rest, and willpower alone can't reach.

So in phase 2, we begin to shift that.

We focus on:

  • Regulating your nervous system

  • Increasing cellular energy (ATP)

  • Understanding what charges and depletes you

As your system begins to feel safer, your body can finally shift from: survive → repair → restore

Two Things To Understand In This Phase

01
Nervous System Regulation

Once your cells start producing more energy, everything else starts working better too.

Your nervous system begins to regulate more easily. As your cellular energy is restored, your nervous system becomes less reactive; you're less likely to fall into a stress response (fight, flight, freeze, fawn, or flop) in the first place. When stress does arise, you recover more quickly. The tools below support that process. They're not extra things to add to your plate, they're ways to work with your nervous system outside of sessions.

02
Restorative Sleep

Your sleep becomes more restorative. Sleep is when your body actually runs the repair programs that your sessions make possible. Your brain clears inflammatory waste. Your cells rebuild. Your nervous system resets. And when you're actively healing, your body needs more of it. Most people who are healing do best with 8–10 hours, rather than the standard 7–9. If you're waking up exhausted or struggling to feel rested, that's not laziness. It's your body asking for more time to do the work. Protecting your sleep isn't just a good habit, it's how you make the most of every session.

Gentle Detox Support, What To Expect

As your body integrates these shifts, you may notice detox symptoms. These are normal signs that your body is actively clearing and recalibrating, some people experience temporary detox symptoms.

Dehydration is one of the biggest contributing factors, so keep up with your water and electrolytes. If symptoms feel intense or continue, slow down, increase your intake, and reach out to us.

Your Practice for This Phase

Getting Clear & Creating Space

In this phase you start to realize what drains your energy and what fills you up. When your cells are depleted, so is your motivation, your mood, your sense of direction. That depletion isn't a mindset problem. It's an energy problem.

As that energy returns, something shifts. You begin to notice what you've been tolerating, and what you actually long for. These questions are designed to help you take it deeper. Take a few minutes to write out your answers, there's no right or wrong, just honesty.

Practice

1. What's on your plate right now?

List everything taking your time, energy, or attention.

3. What feeds you or fills you up?

What makes you feel lighter, calmer, or more life yourself?

2. What drains the life out of you?

What feels heavy, forced, or depleting; even if it looks productive?

4. If you had more space on your plate how would that feel?

Take it deeper, what would your day-to-day actually look like?

5. Making room!

Choose: one thing to reduce,

one to increase.

6. Filling your cup!

Begin shifting small amounts of time toward what supports you.

Building the Conditions

Small, consistent changes here compound quickly. These techniques help the body and mind repair and restore function.

Practice

Sleep:

Aim for 7–10 hours and try to be asleep by 10pm when possible, this is when your most restorative sleep happens. Choose a consistent bedtime and protect it for 7 days.

To help you wind down, try one of these:

  • Calm routine: dim lights and go screen/emf-free for 30 minutes before bed

  • Use your essential oils before bed

  • Listen to the sleep meditation (listed in suggested meditations)

If sleep has been a real struggle, bring it up at your next session, it's something we can work on directly.

Nervous System Daily Practices:

Choose one tool and practice it daily. Consistency matters:

  • Box breathing

  • Body scan

  • Meditation (suggested meditations listed below)

  • Stress response practice (listed below)

Working with Your Nervous System

Tool for Your Stress Response

You've identified your default stress response in Phase 1. Now here are some gentle shifts for each response.

When you notice your pattern, practice one of these tools:

  • Fight (tension, irritability)

Shake It Out: Stand up and shake your hands, arms, and body for 60 seconds. Mammals literally shake off stress hormones after threat. Let it be weird.

Cold Water Reset: Run cold water over your wrists and the back of your neck for 30 seconds. This activates your dive reflex and rapidly down-regulates your nervous system.

  • Flight (anxiety, restlessness)

Box Breathing: Inhale 4 counts, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. Repeat 4–6 times. This signals safety to your nervous system immediately.

Barefoot Grounding: Step outside with bare feet on grass or earth for 10 minutes. Physical contact with the ground pulls you out of your head and back into your body.

  • Freeze (stuck, numb, brain fog)

Orienting Practice: Slowly look around the room. Name 5 things you can see. Let your eyes move without rushing. This tells your nervous system the threat has passed.

Gentle Movement: A slow 5-minute walk, no destination, no pace goal. Movement reintroduces circulation and begins to thaw the freeze response.

  • Fawn (over-giving, no boundaries)
The Pause Practice: Before saying yes to anything, place one hand on your chest and ask "Does this feel right for me?" Wait for the answer before responding.
One Small No: Each day, honor one small preference of your own, your order at a restaurant, the show you actually want to watch. Practice choosing yourself in low-stakes moments first.

  • Flop (shutdown, exhaustion)
One Tiny Thing: Choose one action so small it feels almost too easy, drink a glass of water, step outside for 2 minutes, open a window. Completing it rebuilds the signal that you can.
Restorative Position: Lie on your back with your legs up the wall for 5–10 minutes. This posture supports circulation and activates your parasympathetic system without requiring anything from you.

You are giving your body a new experience.

What To Expect

Most people in this phase begin to notice they feel calmer without trying, that their energy is more stable, that stress doesn't hit quite as hard. Sleep starts to improve. A quiet sense of clarity begins to emerge.

You may not feel fully healed yet. But you'll feel something just as important: momentum.
